Alumni Dues: Stay Actively Engaged with Mu Phi Epsilon!

All members of Mu Phi Epsilon, no longer enrolled in a college or university, are alumni members. But through the payment of annual dues, our alumni members have the opportunity to stay actively engaged with the fraternity and take advantage of numerous member benefits. 

Regardless of where you live or your chapter of initiation, Mu Phi offers two options to stay connected:

OPTION ONE

Join an alumni chapter. While each of us may have had a different collegiate experience, we all share a bond formed in Music, Friendship and Harmony. Our alumni chapters provide many opportunities to grow and interact with individuals with various backgrounds and unique stories. Benefits of joining an alumni chapter include:

  • Continued affiliation with Mu Phi Epsilon
  • Networking and friendships with musicians and educators
  • Eligibility for Mu Phi Epsilon Foundation scholarships and grants
  • Participation in community service through music
  • Opportunity to assist collegiate chapters through scholarships and projects for collegiate musicians
  • Performance and collaboration opportunities
  • At-home subscription to The Triangle of Mu Phi Epsilon
  • Leadership opportunities in the Fraternity
  • You are supporting Mu Phi Epsilon!

Annual Alumni Chapter dues are $75 (fraternity assessment) plus $1.20 Founders Fund fee. This is in addition to any local dues charged by the chapter. Individuals who previously purchased a Life Subscription to the Triangle are eligible for a $10 discount. Those who are 80 years of age or older may request emeritus status and be exempt from the fraternity assessment. Recent graduates (those who graduated within the past three years) may request a one-time waiver from the fraternity assessment.

Membership in an alumni chapter is initiated between the individual and the chapter. To find contact information and an alumni chapter near you, visit our online alumni chapter directory. 

OPTION TWO

Become an Affiliate Member. This is an option for those who want to stay actively engaged in Mu Phi Epsilon but are not near an active alumni chapter (or choose not to to affiliate with an alumni chapter). Benefits of becoming an Affiliate Member include:

  • Continued affiliation with Mu Phi Epsilon
  • Eligibility for Mu Phi Epsilon Foundation scholarships and grants
  • At-home subscription to The Triangle of Mu Phi Epsilon
  • Leadership opportunities in the Fraternity
  • You are supporting Mu Phi Epsilon!

Affiliate dues are tracked on an annual basis. Affiliate members will receive renewal notices one month before their dues expire (anniversary date is based on the date joined).

Annual Affiliate dues are $75 (fraternity assessment) plus $1.20 Founders Fund fee. Recent graduates (those who graduated within the past three years) pay a discounted fraternity assessment rate of $5 plus the $1.20 Founders Fund fee. The recent graduate rate can only be used once.
