Bernstein-Crosman Scholarship

DESCRIPTION
$2,000 piano scholarship for foreign study outside the United States in a country other than the country of an applicant's birth or citizenship.

REQUIREMENTS
Required Materials Checklist:
  1. Current resume, including Mu Phi Epsilon participation
  2. Two current letters of recommendation
  3. Most recent unofficial college transcript
  4. A detailed description of the proposed project (250-500 words)
  5. A detailed budget
  6. A high quality recording 30-45 minutes in length, including a work written within the last twenty years and contrasting works from different stylistic periods to fulfill the time requirement. Submission must be via links to YouTube or other comparable sites provided to the online application system (YouTube preferred, no Dropbox). Recordings in the Scholarship Application process must not be older than two years from the date of application.
  7. Copy of the score to the contemporary work, if unpublished
  8. List of the recorded repertoire with the following information:
    1. Exact titles, opus numbers
    2. Composers’ names
    3. Timings
  9. Recent programs and/or reviews
  10. $25 Application Fee
Please note that there will be no return of application fee for incomplete and disqualified applications.
