Eleanor Hale Wilson Cello Scholarship

DESCRIPTION

$2,000 for undergraduate or graduate music major whose primary instrument is cello. Scholarship significantly funded through generosity of the Eleanor Hale Wilson Charitable Trust.

REQUIREMENTS
Required Materials Checklist:
  1. Current resume, including Mu Phi Epsilon participation
  2. Two current letters of recommendation
  3. Most recent unofficial college transcript
  4. A detailed budget of how the funds will be used
  5. A high quality recording 15-30 minutes in length including at least 2 contrasting works that demonstrate familiarity and command of the instrument. Submission must be via links to YouTube or other comparable sites provided to the online application system (YouTube preferred, no Dropbox). Recordings in the Scholarship Application process must not be older than two years from the date of application.
  6. List of the recorded repertoire with the following information:
    1. Exact titles, opus numbers
    2. Composers’ names
    3. Timings
  7. Recent programs and/or reviews
  8. $25 Application Fee
Please note that there will be no return of application fee for incomplete and disqualified applications.
